THE LOUVANTO JOURNAL
A relaxed week around Futuroscope
Mix big days out with time at the house. Adapt this suggested itinerary to your group, the weather and opening dates.

Day 1 · Settle in
Check-in starts at 4 pm. Unpack, choose bedrooms and organise groceries. Dinner on the covered terrace is a gentle way to begin.
Day 2 · Futuroscope
Give the park a full day. Check height restrictions and the day’s opening times. Keep the evening flexible so everyone can follow their own pace.
Day 3 · Chauvigny
Explore the medieval town. Add the Géants du Ciel bird show if the timetable works, or try the free Tèrra Aventura treasure hunt. Book ahead if the whole group wants to have lunch together.
Day 4 · Stay close to home
Enjoy the garden, pétanque court and seasonal swimming pool. A day without driving gives everyone time to recharge.
Day 5 · Aquascope or Poitiers
Book an Aquascope time slot for a day in the water, or explore Poitiers for a city outing. Notre-Dame-la-Grande is listed as closed for restoration until May 2027; choose other indoor visits during that period.
Day 6 · Heritage or fresh air
Choose Saint-Savin for its wall paintings, Monthoiron for puzzles, or Angles-sur-l’Anglin for a village walk. For canoeing, ask the operator to confirm the meeting point, river conditions and children’s age requirements.
Day 7 · One more unhurried day
Enjoy the VéloRail, a local walk or time in the garden. For a seven-night stay, check-out is on the eighth morning before 10 am unless agreed otherwise. Leave time to pack without rushing the group.
